This was my dream - to build Running Cedar Springs. And now it's a reality.
The 60-acre property was once a farm homestead, where cows and goats roamed, alongside a tiny little farmhouse where the residents lived. The property, now known as Running Cedar Springs, just happens to be a few miles down the road where I grew up enjoying Bear Lake and living part-time (when I needed an escape from my corporate job).
So when the property went up for sale, I went to work. My dream has been falling into place, serendipitously and by the grace of God. My whole family is from this area and they've all leaned in to help me bring this place to life. If you have not been to this part of North Carolina, I can't think of a better place to get away or GET MARRIED!
For brides-to-be, we have created a venue with the utmost flexibility, to accommodate your vision for the perfect day. There are so many details and I'm not nearly done.
For those looking to escape, I have built the RCS cabins the way I love to live - comfortable, rustic luxury, inviting, and simple. In this crazy world, give yourself the gift to stay here – find the peace and quiet you need. Sit by the fire pit and make smores. Walk the trails throughout the property. Sit. Rock. Read. Listen. Or take day trips to experience the mountains and the surrounding area.
I guarantee your cup will be full when you leave.
